Title: Requiem

Author: Lauren Oliver

GenreYA Dystopian

SeriesDelirium (Book 3)

Publication Date:  March 5, 2013

Synopsis

Now an active member of the resistance, Lena has been transformed. The nascent rebellion that was under way in Pandemonium has ignited into an all-out revolution in Requiem, and Lena is at the center of the fight.

After rescuing Julian from a death sentence, Lena and her friends fled to the Wilds. But the Wilds are no longer a safe haven—pockets of rebellion have opened throughout the country, and the government cannot deny the existence of Invalids. Regulators now infiltrate the borderlands to stamp out the rebels, and as Lena navigates the increasingly dangerous terrain, her best friend, Hana, lives a safe, loveless life in Portland as the fiancée of the young mayor. Requiem is told from both Lena’s and Hana’s points of view. The two girls live side by side in a world that divides them until, at last, their stories converge.

WHY I CANNOT WAIT:  This book will finish out the Delirium trilogy and I can’t wait.  I enjoyed Delirium, and I loved Pandemonium.  I love Lena and I am so excited to see more of Hannah, she wasn’t in the second book and she was one of my favorite characters in the first book.  It’s always sad to see the end of a series but I am excited to see which boy Lena picks and where her story goes.   Also the second book had a horrible cliffhanger at the end so I really need to know what happens next.

Title: Untitled Gallagher Girls #6

Author: Ally Carter

Genre: YA Mystery

Series: Gallagher Girls (Book 6)

Publication: Expected to be in 2013

Synopsis: N/A

WHY I CANNOT WAIT: I love the Gallagher Girl series.  The books are so cute and fun.  Also they are totally clean, so pretty much anyone at any age can enjoy them.  I secretly wish I could be a Gallagher girl J!!!  This is supposed to be the last book in the series which makes me sad because I love Cammie and her spy friends.  In the books you get to see Cammie grow into a beautiful young women and a totally kick-butt spy.  I just can’t wait to engross myself again in the world that Carter created and the awesome characters she has written about.

Title: Apollyon

Author: Jennifer Armentrout

Genre: YA Paranormal

Series: Covenant (Book 4)

Publication DateApril 9, 2013

Synopsis:

Fate isn’t something to mess with… and now, neither is Alex.

Alex has always feared two things: losing herself in the Awakening and being placed on the Elixir. But love has always been stronger than Fate, and Aiden St. Delphi is willing to make war on the gods—and Alex herself—to bring her back.

The gods have killed thousands and could destroy entire cities in their quest to stop Seth from taking Alex’s power and becoming the all-powerful God Killer. But breaking Alex’s connection to Seth isn’t the only problem. There are a few pesky little loopholes in the whole “an Apollyon can’t be killed” theory, and the only person who might know how to stop the destruction has been dead for centuries.

Finding their way past the barriers that guard the Underworld, searching for one soul among countless millions, and then somehow returning will be hard enough. Alex might be able to keep Seth from becoming the God Killer… or she might become the God Killer herself.

WHY I CANNOT WAIT: Jennifer Armentrout is just a genius.  I have loved everything she has written so far.  The Convent series totally captured my heart in the first book and I can’t wait to see what happens next.  I love Alex and Aiden they are totally adorable together!!!  I also have a soft spot for Seth even though he has a crazy side to him.  The story has gotten pretty intense and I can’t wait to see where it goes.  Also Jennifer likes to have cliffhangers at the end of her books so it leaves you dying to know what happens next.

Her life has never looked more bleak. And all the while there’s Kaidan Rowe, son of the Duke of Lust, plaguing her heart and mind.

When an unexpected lost message from the angels surfaces, Anna finds herself traveling the globe with Kopano, son of Wrath, in an attempt to gain support of fellow Nephilim and give them hope for the first time. Danger closes in around the Shadowhunters in the final installment of the bestselling Infernal Devices trilogy.

WHY I CANNOT WAIT: I am a big fan of Cassandra Clare.  If you haven’t read any of her books yet you really should start like yesterday J!  The wait for this book has been agonizing.  It is the final book in the Infernal Device Series.  I know that it is going to be amazing and heartbreaking at the same time.  The first 2 books in the series were brilliantly written and I loved them both.  I am going to be honest I both look forward and dread the end because there will be no more Tessa, Will, and Jem and that makes me sad.  But good things always have to come to an end and that’s how I feel about this series.  I honestly can’t wait to see what happens.
