What a great interview. Love learning about process and inspiration. I’m so pleased Orbit decided on a new look for this UF series – it’s very gutsy. I hope sales prove that trying something different with a talented artist is worth it.

Just wanted to mention that I’d seen the Tempest Rising cover online and really liked it but when I finally saw it in person I was blown away. Somehow the screen just doesn’t translate how gorgeous the art is as well as a print – buy thee a book! [Besides Nicole Peeler has proven she not only blogs and tweets like a feisty-yet-somehow-still-feminine-comic-genius, she can tell a great story, with awesome characters too - Worth. Every. Cent. Plus, you get Ms. Tancredi's art to hold in your hand. Very awesome!]

Bravo Sharon! As the creative director for Orbit, who publishes the Jane True books, i can say Sharon’s covers have absolutely added to the uniqueness of Nicole’s writing. And Sharon’s a joy to work with, so it all works fabulously.

@Chase: the actual cover is a bit more covered, but Sharon loves the original art she did and although it IS a little racy, Tempest Rising is no kids book. But if you want to see the final cover, here it is…Jane’s face went thru a little updating too, so it looks more like the #2 cover.
