Look Who’s Going to BEA: Carrie Jones

Can you introduce yourself to my readers?

I am Carrie Jones. I write things. However, I am not the Carrie Jones who wrote CUTTING UP PLAYGIRL, a sexual memoir. My mother thinks this is very important that everyone know that.

Can you introduce us to the world that you have created?

Well, the world in the NEED series takes place in Bedford, Maine, which is a town of about 6,000 people up the coast of Maine. It’s not quite a coastal town. It’s about three miles in from the sea. There’s a river. There are buildings. There are also human-sized pixies who are slowly terrorizing the town. The town doesn’t realize that there are human-sized pixies, because honestly, who would?

What should readers know before stepping into your world?

Nothing really. It helps if they can read. Although, if they are a fan of audio books that isn’t necessary. ;)

Will this be your first time attending BEA or are you a veteran?  Any advice for those who are going for the first time?

I went once before, but I can’t really remember much about it except for the fact that my skirt fell down and I met Tiffany Trent who I am in love with in a girl-crush-platonic way.

This is where I blog about my skirt.  This is where I mistakenly say something HIDEOUSLY NAUGHTY to my editor by accident.

Are you speaking on any panels during BEA?  Are there any you are looking forward to? What panels are you planning on attending?

Um. I am. I can’t remember exactly what I’m doing. I know I’m at the Teen Author Carnival and at Speed Dating. I love that authors speed date book sellers. It cracks me up. I’m doing signings on Tuesday.

If someone wanted to meet up with you at BEA, who should they look for?

Someone trying desperately to not:

1. Lose their skirt

2. Say something naughty to their editor
