I Belong

Look Who’s Going to BEA: Judith Graves

1. Can you introduce yourself to my readers?

I’m a young adult paranormal fiction author from Northern Alberta. I work as a library technician in a school library by day, and by night (or on my lunch break), you’ll find me tucked away in my office – lost in worlds of my making.

2. Are there any special events, panels or galleys you are looking forward to?

I’m so beyond thrilled about attending BEA that even walking in the entrance of the Javits Center is an experience I’m looking forward to. I plan on being a major fangirl and will try not to embarrass myself or drool upon the talented authors and illustrators. I’m also keen to hang out at Teen Author Carnival and was honoured to be invited as a feature author.

3. Will this be your first time attending BEA or are you a veteran? Any advice for those who are going for the first time?

Yes, first time, but hopefully not my last. The only advice I can think of (being a newbie) is to have a list of your must dos and try to stick to it – have a camera available at all times – oh, and wear comfy shoes.

4. Will you be doing an autograph signing at the expo? Any other fun stuff on your agenda?

I won’t be signing at BEA, but as an author with the Class of 2k10, I’ll be doing signings at the following venues:

Teen Author Carnival: Monday, May 24 5-8pm

Jefferson Market Branch Library
425 Avenue of the Americas [at 10th St.]

30 authors and loads of candy. Event organized by blogger Devyn Burton in association with Mitali Dave & Korianne Wey

Book Expo America
Jacob K. Javits Center
Look for Class of 2k10 titles at the New Title Showcase pavilion.

Books of Wonder: Tuesday, May 25 6-8pm
15 members of the Class of 2k10 (Judith included!) will introduce their books and be available for questions/signings — and swag giveaways!

The Voracious Reader Bookstore: Wednesday, May 26 4-5pm
1997 Palmer Avenue
Class of 2k10 authors (Judith included!) will do short readings, answer questions, and sign your books. Plus swag giveaways!

New York Public Library: Thursday, May 27 3-5pm
St. Agnes Branch Library
444 Amsterdam Ave, NY-Upper West Side
Class of 2k10 Young Adult and Paranormal authors (Judith included!) will participate in a panel discussion, meet with readers, and answer any questions you have.

5. What other projects are you working on that you would like to tell us about?

I’m working on book 2 of the Skinned series, Second Skin, as well as another YA paranormal series with fellow Leap Books author, Kitty Keswick. I have an edgy contemporary YA to finish. Let’s just say I don’t plan to get much yard work done this summer. ;)

Thanks for having me, Angela! Hope to see you at BEA!

Synopsis (Product Description):

All her parents wanted was for Eryn to live a normal life…

Redgrave had its share of monsters before Eryn moved to town. Mauled pets, missing children. The Delacroix family is taking the blame, but Eryn knows the truth. Something stalks the night. Wade, the police chief’s son and Redgrave High’s resident hottie, warns her the Delacroix are dangerous. But then so is Eryn–in fact, she’s lethal.

But she can’t help falling for one of the Delacroix boys, dark, brooding–human Alec. And then her world falls apart.

A normal life? Now that’s the real fairytale.
