Sure. I’m Linda Gerber, author of the award-winning DEATH BY BIKINI mystery series and the upcoming YA paranormal, TRANCE. Completely useless fact: I had my numbers done as part of my research for TRANCE and found that I am not only powerful, but also intuitive. My children may disagree.
2. Are there any special events, panels or galleys you are looking forward to?
I’m looking forward to everything! BEA, but also hanging around New York, meeting up with other authors, readers and bloggers I’ve met online, snagging some exciting new reads. I’m a severe bookaholic, so being surrounded by books at BEA will be an ultra-supreme high.
3. Will this be your first time attending BEA or are you a veteran? Any advice for those who are going for the first time?
This is my first BEA, but I’ve been to the Bologna Book Fair. Assuming it’s a similar experience, I’d say wear comfortable shoes and bring a strong tote for all those books you’ll be carting home!
4. Will you be doing an autograph signing at the expo? Any other fun stuff on your agenda?
I’ll be signing offsite at the Teen Author Carnival at the Jefferson Market Branch Library on Monday from 5-8 (where I will be giving away galleys of TRANCE!) and at BOOKS OF WONDER on Wednesday from 6-8 with a group of phenomenal YA authors (so I’ll be going home with even more books for my tbr piles!)
5. What other projects are you working on that you would like to tell us about?
I recently finished the final edits for my upcoming paranormal, TRANCE, which will be released in October of this year and I’m working on a sequel. I’m also writing a globetrotting MG series called CASSIDY ON CAMERA, the first books of which will be released in 2011.
Synopsis (Product Description):
It begins with a subtle vibration, a tingling.
There is time to take only one breath.
The trance begins.
When it is through, Ashlyn is certain of two things:
Someone she knows is about to die.
And she is powerless to stop it.
