1. Can you introduce yourself to my readers?
My name is Rachel Vincent, and I’m the author of two urban fantasy series: Shifters, an adult series about Faythe Sanders, the first female werecat enforcer in her society, and Soul Screamers, a young adult series about banshees, reapers, and other assorted monsters.
2. Are there any special events, panels or galleys you are looking forward to?
I’ll probably try to go to any YA or urban fantasy panels that don’t conflict with my own signings.
3. Will this be your first time attending BEA or are you a veteran? Any advice for those who are going for the first time?
I went last year, but I’m still pretty new to this particular conference. It can be pretty overwhelming. Fortunately, I know several other authors going this year, so I’m hoping to see some familiar faces.
4. Will you be doing an autograph signing at the expo? Any other fun stuff on your agenda?
Yes, I’m actually going to be signing both SHIFT and MY SOUL TO KEEP, and attending a couple of functions for my publisher.
5. What other projects are you working on that you would like to tell us about?
I’ve just turned in copy edits for ALPHA, the sixth and final book in my Shifters series, which comes out October 1. Up next, I’ll be writing IF I DIE, the fifth book in my Soul Screamers series. After that, I’m starting a new adult series for Mira, my adult publisher. But I’m not ready to talk about that one yet.
