Hello, I am Rebecca Maizel! I’m the writer of Infinite Days, the first book in the Vampire Queen Trilogy. My novel comes out this August 3rd and I cannot wait! No really, every day that isn’t August 3rd is a day I’m wishing it was August 3rd!
2. Are there any special events, panels or galleys you are looking forward to?
I’m participating in the YA Authors Stage on Thursday the 27th at 2pm. I’ll be there with other debut authors, Ally Condie, Kody Keplinger, Sophie Jordan, and Erin Bow. Also, my editor, Jennifer Weis is participating in the YA Editor’s Buzz panel on the 26th. She’ll be talking about Infinite Days. She’s been incredible to work with and I’m excited to see what she has to say about Infinite Days and how we got to Book Expo to talk about it.
3. Will this be your first time attending BEA or are you a veteran? Any advice for those who are going for the first time?
First time! I am wondering if they’ll let me bring a suit case into the exhibition center so I can take home all the books I possibly can. Should I be admitting this?
4. Will you be doing an autograph signing at the expo? Any other fun stuff on your agenda?
I won’t be signing at the expo specifically but I’m happy to sign any copies that are out there. My editor will be giving some away at her buzz panel for the YA editor buzz. I used to live in NYC so I’m hoping to see a bunch of old friends. I also cannot wait for NYC coffee and Magnolia bakery cup cakes. Food. Yes, food is on the agenda.
5. What other projects are you working on that you would like to tell us about?
I’m working on the sequel for the Vampire Queen trilogy. I’m also working on a bunch of projects which I hope will turn into novels. The sequel has been really fun to write.
Synopsis (Product Description):
