Dream Casting Seduced by the Vampire King
By Laura Kaye
It’s always fun to fantasize about your book being made into a movie. Imagine the glamour, the red carpet, the big, silver screen! Oh my! You’d wonder how your story might translate to film, and how exciting it would be to see everything come to life. And, of course, you’d wonder just which actors would play your characters.
In my dark paranormal romance, Seduced by the Vampire King, the second in my Vampire Warrior Kings series, the hero is an ancient Russian vampire king named Nikolai Vasilyev. His heroine is an American exchange student studying at the Moscow University for the Humanities named Katherine Bordessa. Here’s more about them, and who I think might play them:
Katherine Bordessa. Here’s Nikolai’s first impression of Kate: Nikolai was completely enthralled by the woman standing before him. Beautiful in her assertiveness. Bravery proven over and again. Wearing so much of his blood he went hard between his legs. She appealed to his body, intrigued his mind. His right hand tingled and twitched. He fisted against the foreign sensation.
Katherine went unsteady on her feet even as her angry words still echoed against the stone walls. Her uncharacteristic display of weakness put him into motion.
He unlocked and opened the door as she turned for the cot, and wrapped a steadying arm around her shoulders before her knees buckled. Nikolai sucked in a breath at the warm feel of her in his arms, at the soft brush of her hair against his hand, at the feminine scent of her skin, infused as it was with the remnants of his blood. Her voice, her touch, her scent—all these he remembered. Now having seen her beautiful face—the long chocolate waves and ice-blue eyes were a killer combination—his memories of the night became clearer and crisper in his mind. He was mesmerized, fascinated.
And who could play Kate? Olivia Wilde, who has Kate’s dark hair and blue eyes combination, which I love!
Nikolai Vasilyev. Here’s Kate’s first impression of Nikolai: Her vampire was standing before her. Conscious. Healthy. More gorgeous than any man she had ever seen. Those eyes. Those bright sapphire eyes. That’s what she noticed first—not just their incredible color, but their haunted intensity, the way she could almost feel them raking over her in return. Golden-blond hair flowed past his broad shoulders, though it wasn’t braided like that of the black-haired warrior who stood at his side.
And who could play Nikolai? You guys, I’m torn! Here are the top picks:
1) Theo Theodoridis (zomg)
2) Brad Pitt (looking very Nikolai-ish here!)
3) Chris Hemsworth (talk about eyes!)
4) Gabriel Aubry (sigh)
So, I need your help! Who would be your pick for my tortured, alpha, Russian vampire warrior king??? One commenter who leaves their email will win an ebook of Seduced by the Vampire King!
Thanks for reading!
