A Look Forward: Bridget’s Most Anticipated Reads of 2015

December 29th, 2014 Bridget Posted in 12 Days of Christmas Comments Off on A Look Forward: Bridget’s Most Anticipated Reads of 2015

I am so excited for 2015!!! There are so many amazing books coming out that I can’t wait to read.  It was really hard for me to make this list and I had to cut out tons of books that I am really looking forward to reading.  But I am pretty sure every book on this list is going to be amazing and they are the books I am most excited to read! This is in no particular order because honestly I am dying to read every single one of them. If you watched my top ten of 2014 video then most of these books will be no surprise to you since they are mostly sequels to my favorite reads of the year!

1. The Sin Eater’s Daughter by Melinda Salisbury

The Sin Eater's Daughter

I am going to be honest when I saw the cover of this book I was instantly intrigued!!! It’s gorgeous and once I read the synopsis I couldn’t wait to read it.  High fantasy is my favorite genre and I love the whole idea of this story.  The fact that the main character is basically the kingdoms assassin for traitors is awesome and she is engaged to marry the prince!!! I seriously can’t wait to read this and hold a finished copy in my hands because I bet it is even more beautiful in person!

2. An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir

An Ember in the Ashes

Again this was another cover that caught my eye and once I read the synopsis I instantly added it to my must read pile.  I love that it is set in Rome and the fact that the main character goes under cover to try to save her brother. Also many of my blogger friends have already read this one and everyone is raving about how amazing it is!!! Lucky for us it comes out in April so we don’t have to wait to long to read it!!!

3. Defy #3 by Sara B. Larson

There is no cover or title for this book yet but I can’t wait to read it.  Defy and Ignite were both in my top ten reads of 2014 and I can’t wait to see how this series ends. I love the romance, the adventure, and the plot really thicken’s in the second book. Also Sara is such a sweet person and I know that anything she writes is going to be amazing.

4. The Heart of Betrayal by Mary E. Pearson

The Heart of Betrayal

The Kiss of Deception was beyond amazing and there are no words to express how excited I am for the sequel.  As you probably already know I am a huge high fantasy fan and the world that Pearson created was so captivating. The love triangle in this one is really intriguing and the ending was a pretty crazy cliff hanger that left me dying to know what happens next! Also the cover and description make me even more excited to read this!

5. The Start of You and Me by Emery Lord

The Start of Me and You

I absolutely adored Open Road Summer by Emery Lord. It was such a great coming of age romance that I just loved.   The characters were so easy to connect with and Lord really knew how to get your emotions flowing.  The Start of You and Me is a new contemporary stand alone that sounds adorable and heart breaking. I can’t wait to read more from Lord an hopefully she comes out with many wonderful books in the future!!!

6. A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas

A Court of Thorns and Roses

I am a huge fan of the Throne of Glass series by Maas. I was a little disappointed by Heir of Fire but I still love the series and can’t wait to continue it. But I am actually more excited to read A Court of Thorns and Roses then I am to read Throne of Glass 4 and the reason why is because this one is a new adult book.  I am really intrigued to see what Maas will bring to the genre and I already know she does romance really well.  I have heard nothing but good things about this book and I can’t wait to get my hands on a copy!

7. Lion Heart by A.C. Gaughen

Lion Heart

This series is one of my favorites and I can’t wait to see how it ends. I loved the first two books and I think that Scarlet is such an amazing heroine!  The ending of Lady Thief was devastating and suffice to say I really need to know what happens next.  If you haven’t started this series yet you really should it is beautifully written and has a very unique spin on the classic tale of Rodin Hood!

8. The Wondrous and the Wicked by Page Morgan

The Wondrous and the Wicked

This is the final book in The Beautiful and the Cursed series. I think my favorite thing about this series is that it is set in Gothic Paris in an old Abbey! Then you add awesome characters, adorable romance, and swash buckling adventure there is really nothing I don’t love about this series.  I know that The Wondrous and the Wicked is going to beyond amazing and I highly recommend this series to everyone that like a good YA paranormal.

9. Blood Passage by Heather Demetrios

This is the sequel to Exquisite Captive and I am so excited to see what happens next in this series.  I loved the world Demetrios created and Malek is one of my all time favorite villains.  I haven’t read many books that have Jinni’s in them but after reading Exquisite Captive I wish more people would write about them because they are fascinating creatures or at least the ones Demetrios created are! The only bad thing about this book is that it probably won’t be coming out till sometime next fall which is a really long time to wait!

10. Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

Six of Crows

I haven’t even finished the Shadow and Bone series yet but I know I am going to love it once I do.  So when I heard that Bardugo was going to write a new series set in the same world I kind of started freaking out because I love the world she created so much.  It is captivating and there is so much more to explore. Also Bardugo writes amazing characters and The Darkling will forever be one of my favorite book boyfriends/villains. Suffice to say I am very excited for this one!!!
