Taking Cover: Desires of the Dead by Kimberly Derting

Kimberly Derting unveiled the beautiful cover art for Desires of the Dead, which is the second book in her Body Finder series.  Desires of the Dead is scheduled to be released on March 15, 2011.  I’m definitely looking forward to reading this book because I really enjoyed The Body Finder.  Click here to see my review of The Body Finder.

Synopsis (Product Description):

Violet Ambrose can sense the echoes of those who’ve been murdered—and the matching imprint that clings to their killers. Jay is the only one outside her family who knows of her morbid ability. But when Violet discovers the body of a young boy she draws the attention of the FBI and is reluctantly pulled into an investigation that will endanger not only her secret but her life.

I really like this cover, it’s so eye-catching and I love everything pink.

The first two lines of text or legible but they don’t stand out very well. I see they wanted to make the covers consistent in design but I think they are too much a like here and the second cover isn’t all that appealing to me.

    Hiya!!
I love the color scheme for this new book cover but I just don’t understand it’s concept for the series.

You know, I thought The Body Finder was mediocre, but I’ll probably read the sequel anyways. But I have to admit, that cover is gorgeous!
