**Visit Tynga’s Reviews on December 6th for her Dark Winter Tale Guest blog with Anna Windsor and a chance to win CAPTIVE SOUL**

Welcome Rebecca!

Cold fear clutched at her throat, choking off her breath. The hand on her ankle tightened, and Liv felt herself being pulled down, down into the frozen earth.

She screamed, then screamed again as a second the hand grabbed her other foot, both of them roughly pulling her down below the surface of the frozen ground.

Impossible! This couldn’t be happening. But it was. She looked down and saw her legs disappear below the surface of the snow-covered football field. Then she was in up to her waist like a victim drowning in quick sand. She let go of the book and braced her hands against the snow-covered ground, stiffening her elbows, desperately trying to stay above the surface. But it was no good. Whoever had hold of her kept pulling and pulling until, with a loud whoosh and another scream, she disappeared completely below the ground and fell several yards, landing on a pile of dirt that had come down with her.

Teetering on unsteady legs, she looked around in amazement.

She was in a huge, dark cavern illuminated only by torches in brackets high on the walls. A dozen little creatures stood around her, their eyes glowing in the flickering light. They were about three feet tall, dressed in green robes. Although vaguely human in appearance, they had ugly, gnarled features–as though their skin had been carved of tree roots. Their hair looked like a nest of spider webs.

When they closed in around her, pulling at her hands and clothing, she thought that she was going to faint.

“The book. She doesn’t have the book,” the closest one cried out in a high-pitched voice.

Ok, so I was wrong. A 50/50 possibility. Rebecca York introduced me to some of the first paranormals I read. One of the queens of scream.
