Deadly Destinations Giveaway: Dust & Decay by Jonathan Maberry

*Visit All Things Urban Fantasy today for her Deadly Destination bonus giveaway of THIS DARK ENDEAVOR by Kenneth Oppel**

Even though Deadly Destinations is officially over, Abigail and I still have a few surprises for you.  I know that many of you were looking forward to visiting the creepy and post apocalyptic setting from ROT & RUIN and DUST & DECAY (this highly anticipated sequel will hit shelves on August 30th).  Unfortunately, Jonathan’s busy writing schedule kept him from participating in our event.  Never fear, you still have the opportunity to dive back into Jonathan Maberry’s zombie infested world.  Thanks to the amazing team at Simon & Schuster/BFYR, five of you who comment on this post will win a copy of the second book!  See details below

This giveaway is provided by Simon & Schuster/BFYR

Five winners will each receive a copy of Dust & Decay by Jonathan Maberry

Available on August 30, 2011 from Simon & Schuster/Books for Young Readers

About the Book:

Six months have passed since the terrifying battle with Charlie Pink-eye and the Motor City Hammer in the zombie-infested mountains of the Rot & Ruin. It’s also six months since Benny Imura and Nix Riley saw something in the air that changed their lives. Now, after months of rigorous training with Benny’s zombie-hunter brother Tom, Benny and Nix are ready to leave their home forever and search for a better future. Lilah the Lost Girl and Benny’s best friend Lou Chong are going with them.

Sounds easy. Sounds wonderful. Except that everything that can go wrong does. Before they can even leave there is a shocking zombie attack in town. But as soon as they step into the Rot & Ruin they are pursued by the living dead, wild animals, insane murderers and the horrors of Gameland –where teenagers are forced to fight for their lives in the zombie pits. Worst of all…could the evil Charlie Pink-eye still be alive?

In the great Rot & Ruin everything wants to kill you. Everything…and not everyone in Benny’s small band of travelers will make it out alive.

I really wanted to read Rot and Ruin, it sounded very intense. If I won Dust and Decay, I would definitely have to go out and buy the first one! Thanks for the giveaway.

Okay I could be original but Audrey read my mind. I have wanted to read Rot And Ruin but as I haven’t gotten to if I won Dust And Decay you know I’d be running out to buy the first book.
For Jonathan how important are show stopping covers like the ones for his books. I know I will often pick up a book just because of the cover.

Dust and Decay, I loved your first R&R and now with D&D I am eager to see what happens next. These covers rock! R&R was one of the first books my tween totally engulfed in reading. It was in their reading group just before school ended and it was much fodder for discussion. Thank you for making a destination.

Hi Jonathan, I loved Rot & Ruin and reading about the changing dynamics between the two brothers and how the older brother showed his younger brother how he went about their trade with compassion.
The story never lost it suspense. I cannot wait to read the sequel, Dust & Decay.

    Thanks for the giveaway.
