Snow White and the Shadow Elves
Once upon a time, a beautiful shadow elf princess named Elle lived a normal, unassuming life in modern day Seattle. She had no idea she was a princess, and happily went about her days making organic bath and body products. Content with her quiet days and human existence, she kept to herself. Blending scents into magical creations was her specialty. She was alone in the world, save for her best friend and enigmatic employee, Jax. Everything changed the day he kissed her.
Her prince, Jax, was a gargoyle in disguise. He claimed to have been sent by Jedren, her father and the king of shadow elves, to watch her and ultimately kill her. Instead, he fell in love with her. He told her how Jedren had kept her in the dark for so many years, but now wanted her to reclaim the throne and lead the shadow elves. As Elle’s memories returned in fragments, her eyes were opened to the dangerous world she’d been born into. Jedren had killed her mother years before and removed Elle from his home, convinced she wasn’t worthy of the throne. Fae magic had scattered her memories to the dark recesses of her mind, where they had remained hidden until Jax’s kiss.
Just one touch from her gargoyle brought memories to the surface, including her memory of him. He’d been taken in by her beauty years before, but it was the woman she’d become who enthralled him now. Together, they decided to end Jedren’s evil reign, and restore what they could. Elle wouldn’t give in to her father’s demands, nor would she rule the corrupt empire he’d built.
Each day brought new memories and abilities, including her affinity for weaving the threads of souls, and becoming one with the shadows. She became stronger and more proficient with practice, with the little time she had. As with any power, Elle could use hers to heal or harm and there was always a price. Determined to stay true to herself, she vowed to use them for good. But her father had other plans.
He sent his henchman to bend Elle to his will. If she refused, her death was inevitable. She would not let him win, and gathered her courage and her allies. Armed with her weaver magic, an anti-fairy godmother, oracle, gargoyle, and a phoenix by her side, Elle confronted her father. As for what happens next, you’ll have to read the Set in Stone series to find out…
