Meet Kadesh:

My name is Kadesh and I live in the mysterious and secret frankincense lands during the Bronze Age. I’m the nephew and heir to King Ephrem of Sariba—after my parent’s untimely deaths—and my task is to lead the frankincense caravans through the dangerous sands of the Empty Quarter to the northern cities of Babylon, Damascus, and Egypt where we sell the coveted spice—worth more than gold.

During one of our trips, my caravan was raided. I was wounded and separated from my men in a foreign land. Searching for help, I spotted a girl below the cliffs where I’d been nursing my wounds. She was lovely, tears streaking her face as she danced over her mother’s grave. I was instantly mesmerized by her beauty and innocent heart.

Jayden and her father doctored my sword wound and I traveled with them to safety, but Jayden was betrothed to the prince of her tribe—even though she didn’t love him. That was the beginning of our forbidden love. When her tribal prince amassed three armies to hunt us down after we escaped to my homeland on the Arabian Coast we ended up in a war for the survival of my kingdom—and an epic love that would change the course of our lives forever.

Fill in the blanks

A good time for me is: Racing camels along the desert, or practicing sword fighting with Asher, my long-time friend, prince of the Edomite Kingdom near the Red Sea.

I’d really rather: walk along the white sands of the beautiful beaches of the Arabian Sea in the moonlight with my love, Jayden, daughter of the Nephish. She was banished from her homeland thousands of miles away and lost nearly all of her family.

My biggest regret was: when I didn’t take Jayden with me when I first tried to return to my homeland of Sariba. The decision to wait for her father’s approval of our betrothal led to great heartache and many deaths

The best gift I could receive is: Jayden as my wife and Queen of Sariba.

The last thing I do before I go to bed is: reviewing my kingdom and resolving to be the best King of Sariba I can be—right before I dream of holding Jayden in my arms in the Marriage Tent.

If I could be anyone else for a day it would be: My Uncle Ephraim, a great example of a benevolent king so I can know how to rule wisely—as well as living in the shoes for a day of one of the farmers or poorer citizens so I can see the effects of how I rule.

I feel passionate about: bringing prosperity and peace to my land and my people.

The biggest thorn in my side: is the power of the Goddess Temples that are corrupting our lands and our people by luring them into a life of temple prostitution and human sacrifice.

Below is the amazing book trailer for Forbidden!!!!

About this Book:

She thought she’d lost everything…

After spending months traveling the harsh, unforgiving Mesopotamian desert, Jayden reunites with a broken, injured Kadesh. Although everyone was convinced the violent and unpredictable Horeb, Jayden’s betrothed, killed the handsome prince, Jayden knew in her heart that her love was alive and safe. But their reunion is short-lived, as they learn Horeb is on their trail and determined to take back the girl he has claimed. Soon, the two star-crossed lovers are on the run toward Sariba, Kadesh’s homeland, where, as heir to the kingdom, he plans to make Jayden his princess.

But the trek to Sariba comes with heartache and danger. After narrowly escaping being stoned to death for a crime she didn’t commit, and learning that her sister has disappeared, Jayden’s only solace is her love for Kadesh. But even he is keeping secrets from her…secrets that will change everything.

This gorgeous and enchanting sequel to Forbidden is fraught with love, danger, and heated passion that will leave readers breathless.
