Fifty Shades of YA Boys continues today with Blake Williams from Silver by Talia Vance. Blake sounds like a tough, bad boy with a heart of gold. I want to read more about him already, unfortunately I will have to wait. Silver will be released on September 4, 2012.
Thanks to the wonderful people at Flux, one lucky commentor will receive a copy of Silver!
Talia Vance is a practicing litigation attorney living in Northern California with her real life love interest, two-point-five kids, and a needy Saint Bernard named Huckleberry. Talia has been writing since she could talk, making up stories for every doll, stuffed animal and action figure she could get her hands on. She grew up hoping to write the great American novel, but her life ran more along the lines of tortured romance and fast paced thrillers, so that’s what she writes.

I guess I’m supposed to spill some secrets or something. But here’s the thing – I never know how much I should reveal. It’s not like anyone really knows how to deal with a bandia. It’s been a few generations since any of my Circle has come across one. So yeah, there’s no handbook.
I’m pretty sure that Rush would want me to keep my mouth shut. It sucks because I want to help Brianna understand what she is. I know I shouldn’t care whether or not she understands her own nature. Hell, the less she knows the better. Thing is, I can’t stop thinking about her. I want her to understand this. I want her to understand me. Yeah, I know, it’s just this sick, twisted soul bond working its juju on me. I’m sure it’s exactly what she wants, me so distracted by this swirl of emotions that I won’t be able to do what I have to do.
I can’t let her black magic suck me in. Too much is at stake. Only one of us will survive this, and I have to make sure that it’s me.
Fill in the Blank:
NOBODY KNOWS I AM: Falling in love. I’ve been doing a pretty good job at keeping it to myself. Hell, I’m doing a fantastic job at keeping if from myself. I can’t afford to indulge in fairy tales. There are no happy endings here. I can’t let myself forget it.
I WISH I COULD STOP: Thinking about ways to kiss her. I should be thinking about ways to kill her. But then I remember that little jolt of heat when our lips touched, and how she melted in my hands… Damn it, there I go again.
I’M A SUCKER FOR: Hot chocolate with those little marshmallows. Please don’t let this get out. Jonah will never let it rest.
A GOOD TIME FOR ME IS: Sitting in Magic Beans with Joe talking about nothing and everything.
NOBODY WOULD BELIEVE ME IF THEY SAW ME: Teaching a bandia how to fight. It goes against everything I’ve been raised to believe. But I can’t just let them kill her. Not now. If anyone is going to do it, it will have to be me.
I’D REALLY RATHER: Make my own decisions. I’m sick of the Circle dictating my life. I should be able to decide who I date. I should be able to decide what I fight for. I should be able to decide who I fight against. Who I kill.
THE FIRST THING I DO IN THE MORNING IS: Put on a shirt and go for a run.
KILL / FRAK / MARRY:
1. Jennifer Lopez – Marry. Yeah, she’s a little old for me, but she still looks amazing. I’m betting that her DNA will reveal that she is a carrier of the Killian gene. I mean, a person cannot look that good for that long without a genetic link to the gods.
2. Adrianna Lima – Kill. Hello? Have you seen this girl? She’s got to be a bandia.
3. Miley Cyrus – Frak. What? I bet she’s an animal underneath that cute and innocent exterior.

About this Book:
An Irish heritage, Celtic myth, and deadly beauty
In eighth grade, Brianna did something so dreadful she was suspended and homeschooled. No one could explain what happened that night . . . except Brianna’s Irish grandmother, who gave her a silver charm bracelet and told her to wear it until she turned seventeen. Ever since she slipped it on, Brianna has felt like she’s invisible. People stare right past her as if she doesn’t exist. And that includes Blake Williams, the one boy she can’t resist.
But everything changes in one frozen, silver moment when Blake sees her–and recognizes what she’s been hiding. Brianna is descended from Danu, the legendary Bandia of Celtic myth. Yet before she can fully understand who or what she is, Brianna accidentally binds her soul to Blake–whose tribe has spent the last thousand years hunting Danu’s descendants to protect humanity.
