Giveaway: Incarnate by Jodi Meadows

Incarnate is the first book in a debut fantasy series from Jodi Meadows. Incarnate is scheduled to hit shelves on January 31, 2012. This is a story about the only girl who is new in a world where everyone is perpetually reincarnated, and her quest to discover why she was born, and what happened to the person she replaced.  I’m definitely intrigued by the premise and looking forward to reading the book.

About Jodi:

Jodi Meadows lives and writes in the Shenandoah Valley, Virginia, with her husband, a Kippy*, and an alarming number of ferrets. She is a confessed book addict, and has wanted to be a writer ever since she decided against becoming an astronaut.

*A Kippy is a cat.

You can visit Jodi around the web here: Website | Blog | Twitter | Facebook

This giveaway is provided by Dark Faerie Tales

One winner will receive a copy of Incarnate by Jodi Meadows

Available on January 31, 2012 from HarperCollins/Katherine Tegen Books

About the Book:

NEWSOUL
Ana is new. For thousands of years in Range, a million souls have been reincarnated over and over, keeping their memories and experiences from previous lifetimes. When Ana was born, another soul vanished, and no one knows why.

NOSOUL
Even Ana’s own mother thinks she’s a nosoul, an omen of worse things to come, and has kept her away from society. To escape her seclusion and learn whether she’ll be reincarnated, Ana travels to the city of Heart, but its citizens are suspicious and afraid of what her presence means. When dragons and sylph attack the city, is Ana to blame?

HEART
Sam believes Ana’s new soul is good and worthwhile. When he stands up for her, their relationship blooms. But can he love someone who may live only once, and will Ana’s enemies—human and creature alike—let them be together? Ana needs to uncover the mistake that gave her someone else’s life, but will her quest threaten the peace of Heart and destroy the promise of reincarnation for all?

Sounds good. Love the cover. I don’t think I have ever read a reincarnation story.

I’d love to read this! I’ve seen this book around on several blogs now, and is totally different from the vampire, wolves, fey etc so I’d be interested to see how reincartion can be brought to life through fiction.

I completely believe in reincarnation and so I think reading about it is so interesting! It can be tedious though when the author is repetitive or does not tell the story as well as I had hoped they would (Eg Passion by Lauren Kate)

I honestly do not know what to think. I have met people who firmly believe in reincarnation and once went to a psychic who told me about past lives. I enjoy reading about it and sharing these stories, but are they real or just stories? I do not know :) Thank you for the lovely giveaway opportunity.
