Giveaway: Shadowfever by Karen Marie Moning

I absolutely love the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning.  I’m really sad that the series is ending, but I’m also excited because Ms. Moning is doing a new Fever spin-off series.  Mac has taken me on an amazing and unforgettable journey.  I hope to see bits of her in the new series.  My thoughts on the series: Darkfever, Bloodfever, Faefever, and Dreamfever.

Shadowfever is the 5th and final installment in phenomenal Fever series.  The book is scheduled to hit shelves on January 19, 2011.

Many thanks to the Random House team for hosting this giveaway.  I have a copy of Shadowfever to giveaway.  As always, details are at the end of the post.

Synopsis (Product Description):

MacKayla Lane was just a child when she and her sister, Alina were given up for adoption and banished from Ireland forever.

Twenty years later, Alina is dead and Mac has returned to the country that expelled them to hunt her sister’s murderer. But after discovering that she descends from a bloodline both gifted and cursed, Mac is plunged into a secret history: an ancient conflict between humans and immortals that have lived concealed among us for thousands of years.

What follows is a shocking chain of events with devastating consequences, and now Mac struggles to cope with grief, while continuing her mission to acquire and control the Sinsar Dubh–a book of dark, forbidden magic scribed by the mythical Unseelie King that contains the power to create and destroy worlds.

In an epic battle between humans and Fae, the hunter becomes the hunted when the Sinsar Dubh turns on Mac, and begins mowing a deadly path through those she loves.

Who can she turn to? Who can she trust? Who is the woman that haunts her dreams? More importantly, who is Mac and what is the destiny she glimpses in the black and crimson designs of an ancient tarot card?

From the luxury of the Lord Master’s penthouse, to the sordid depths of an Unseelie nightclub, from the erotic bed of her lover, to the terrifying bed of the Unseelie King, Mac’s journey will force her to face the truth of her exile, and make a choice that will either save the world…or destroy it.

    Thanks for the Awesome giveaway!

    1. If you’re fan of the series, tell us what aspects of the series keeps you hooked?
-For me, it would have to be the un-answered questions. I feel so attached to these characters that I have to know if they’re going to be ok or not.

    2. What do you hope to learn while reading Shadowfever?
-I want to know what Barrons is, who killed Alina, if Mac restores the world, and if Christian gets out of the silvers.

    3. If you haven’t read any of the books yet, tell us what you would do if you were a Sidhe-seer?
-I have read the books but if I was Sidhe-seer I would try to take as many Unseelie as I could before I die.

    4. +2 for being a follower.

    5. +3 for blogging about it.

Thanks for this amazing giveaway–I can’t wait for Shadowfever!

    1. It’s hard to pinpoint what exactly got me hooked; when I read Darkfever, I was able to walk away after reading it easily. But when I started Bloodfever, it really sank its claws into me. The story became so emotional and entrancing at the same time, lol. Afterwards, it was really the interaction between Mac and Barrons and V’lane.

    2. I really hope to figure out Barrons in Shadowfever

    3. n/a? Otherwise… I’d love to come into the fold and do research on them–figure out exactly what makes them tick

Have not read this series yet though I hope to since I have Darkfever in my TBR pile. Uncertain what a Sidhe-seer is so I do not know what I would do with that power.
