New Dark Faerie Tales Team Member: Meet Bridget

Our introduction comes today from Bridget.  She answered our call for new book reviewers last month and we are excited to have her join Dark Faerie Tales.  Her energy and passion for reading shines through in every word.  Bridget is going to do reviews for us and you can read some of her lovely work after this post. Please officially welcome Bridget to the team.

My name is Bridget and I reside in the beautiful state of Idaho.  I live here with my husband and 2 sweet little kids.  I am a stay at home mom and I love it.  Of course one of my favorite things to do in my extra time is to read.  I have been really into reading since I was a young teenager.  My mom was a big reader and she always tried to encourage me to read.  Then one day she gave me a book that I couldn’t put down and I have been hooked ever since.  That book was Emeralds & Espionage by Lynn Gardner.  My mom loved to read LDS Fiction books so most of growing up that is what I read as well.

To be honest the first YA Paranormal book I ever read was Twilight by Stephanie Meyer.  I loved it.  I read the first three books in the series in one day.  Since then I have really started to get into YA novels and I really enjoy all the different genres.  At the moment I would have to say that fantasy and dystopian are my favorite.  Most of the books I read are YA novels, but I really enjoy a good adult read as well.

Some of my favorite authors are Cassandra Clare, JK Rowling, Ally Carter, Veronica Rossi, Sarah J. Maas, Jennifer Armentrout, and Cynthia Hand.  There are so many great authors and I keep discovering new ones all the time.  That is one of the best things about book blogs.  After discovering the blogging world I have been introduced to so many books that I would never have heard of otherwise. I love to introduce new books to people, my sister says that my house is better than going to the library because I have so many books and I am always recommending new books to her and all my friends.  I am so excited to now be a part of this wonderful team at Dark Faerie Tales and help many others to discover new and wonderful books to read.

Welcome, Bridget! I look forward to your thoughts on what’s good—and what’s not!
