The first in a new sexy romance series from bestselling author Chantal Fernando about the bad boys of the Wind Dragons Motorcycle Club and the women who fall in love with them. When I found my boyfriend cheating on me, I did something stupid.Or should I say, someone?Because of that mistake, I’m now stuck in a world I don’t belong in.

I’m a law student. They’re criminals. He’s the vice president of a motorcycle club. I’m a good girl with a strict upbringing. He’s my ex-boyfriend’s brother.

And I’m screwed.

Quick & Dirty: A beautiful law student, and outlaw biker and a one night stand. That is until everything changes.

Opening Sentence: “I walk home from school and stop in front of my house, sitting down on the lawn.”

Excerpt: Yes

The Review:

Faye is 23 and in law school, after breaking up with her boyfriend she goes out to party and runs into Dex and they have a one night stand. Faye ends up pregnant and alone and runs off to start a new life for her and the baby, when Dex tracks her down and brings her back to the clubhouse.

Normally this would almost feel like an insta-love situation, but the author lays the groundwork before we even get to the one night stand. Faye has known Dex all her life as he was her next door neighbor. She ends up in a relationship with his brother, but catches him cheating on her and a few days later runs into Dex and they have a one night stand. Faye has been crushing on him since they were young, and takes advantage of the crush to get what she always wanted and sleeps with him. Of course Dex is a hot biker now, and lives in the clubhouse. So not only do they have to figure out their relationship and feelings she has to figure out how to fit in a situation she isn’t entirely comfortable with.

Hijinks ensue and drama, but I really loved Faye. She was strong willed, snarky and so ready to stand up for her friends. She is a great main character, and while parts of it seemed outlandish (spoilers) the author still made it feel believable and that’s what most important being able to connect and buy what is going in the book. Dex is smoking hot and a interesting partner to our heroine. He is the Vice-President of the Wild Dragon MC and serious about the clubhouse. I did think for minute how did the kid we meet in the beginning of the book end up in a outlaw biker club. The author did explain it, but it was the one point that felt like a bit of a stretch.

This was a great easy read with enough going on to hold your attention and leave you wanting more. I am looking forward to checking the other books out in the series, because honestly who doesn’t want some hot bikers in your life. I mean seriously think like shades of Sons of Anarchy and definitely the book has the Jax vibe with Dex.

Notable Scene:

“I keep seeing Mary’s face in death.”

“Clover would have gone to find her father and ended up hanging around the MC anyway.”

“Dexter Black twisted my world upside down, but then gave me his.”

Wind Dragons MC:

1. Dragon’s Lair

2. Arrow’s Hell

3. Tracker’s End (August 11, 2015)

FTC Advisory: Gallery Books/Simon & Schuster provided me with a copy of Dragon’s Lair. No goody bags, sponsorships, “material connections,” or bribes were exchanged for my review.
