I’m Zoe Archer! I write paranormal historical romance, as well as sci-fi romance. Those two subgenres might seem pretty different, but I think the common theme that unites all my books is adventure. Oh, and I like writing heroines who do some serious butt-kicking. Lucky for my heroines, my heroes happen to find butt-kicking women very sexy.
Can you introduce us to the world that you have created?
My most recent series is the Blades of the Rose, which is about a group of men and women who travel the world to protect the world’s magic from theft and exploitation. The Blades books are full of adventure, far-away locations, magic and plenty of hot sex! In April, I launch a new sci-fi series with Carina Press, which has elements of all the great science fiction classics like Star Wars, Star Trek and even the new Battlestar Galactica. But wait, I’m not done yet! Beginning in December, my Hellraisers series launches with Kensington. The Hellraisers are a group of 18th century rakes who inadvertently free the Devil from his prison and literally raise hell. It’s going to be dark and sexy.
Will this be your first RT or are you a veteran? Any advice for those who are going for the first time?
This will be my second RT Convention. Last year I was somewhat incognito, since my Blades series hadn’t released yet. Expect a lot of fun, and expect to be tired. I think I slept about ten hours total over the course of four days. When I got home, I crashed! I’d say that if you are planning on attending RT for the first time, get onto Twitter and start mingling and making connections now. That way, when you get to the convention, you’ll have friends already waiting for you. Then, it’s just one big slumber party.
Are you speaking on any panels during RT? Are there any you are looking forward to? What panels are you planning on attending?
I will be on the Historical Paranormal panel, which is on Wednesday, April 6 from 2:15 to 3:15. I’ll also be on the panel about Author Branding, which is Thursday, April 7 from 2:45 to 3:45. But you can also find me at the Saucy Sirens Through History social event on Wednesday, April 6 from 6:30 to 8:00 (tons of giveaways and great prizes!), the Kensington Morning Mixer on Friday, April 8 from 8:30 to 9:45 am, and I’ll be at both the e-book signing and the Giant Book Fair, and perhaps even the Carina Cocktail Hour. See what I mean about running around and no sleep?
If someone were wanting to meet up with you at RT, who should they look for?
If you’re looking for me…good luck! I’m a short brunette, so picking me out of the crowd might be a challenge. But I encourage you to do so, and come up to say hi!
