…twleve gods a brawling.
All those Greek gods you hear about? They’re real. They are the original 12 gods and goddesses, only in human form. Their personalities haven’t changed over the centuries. They still argue with each other and often throw fits and fight (acutal fist-throwing action). But one of them has been on the verge of giving up. Henry (Hades) has lost his wife Persephone and has been looking for a new one. So the gods created a test: each god was in charge of testing the prospective wife for their specific origin. Athena would test wisdom. Hera would test marriage. And so on. If the girl passed, she would become a god and rule at Henry’s side. That is, if the girl lived long enough.
Every girl before Kate has been murdered while in the middle of her trial. No one knows who it is or why they are trying to make Henry give up hope. In fact if Kate doesn’t pass, then Henry is ready to give up. He’s tired of innocent girls dying. He’s tired of trying to fall in love with one of them, when all he wants is Persephone to love him. Now he only has to suffer through one last shred of hope. One last girl.

KATE WINTERS HAS WON IMMORTALITY.
BUT IF SHE WANTS A LIFE WITH HENRY IN THE UNDERWORLD, SHE’LL HAVE TO FIGHT FOR IT.
Becoming immortal wasn’t supposed to be the easy part. Though Kate is about to be crowned Queen of the Underworld, she’s as isolated as ever. And despite her growing love for Henry, ruler of the Underworld, he’s becoming ever more distant and secretive. Then, in the midst of Kate’s coronation, Henry is abducted by the only being powerful enough to kill him: the King of the Titans.
As the other gods prepare for a war that could end them all, it is up to Kate to save Henry from the depths of Tartarus. But in order to navigate the endless caverns of the Underworld, Kate must enlist the help of the one person who is the greatest threat to her future.
Henry’s first wife, Persephone.
